Psychiatric Pharmacogenomics  (PsychPGx) Lab

Are you interested in pharmacogenetic testing?

The Psychiatric Pharmacogenomics (PsychPGx) Lab is offering free pharmacogenetic testing to youth (6-24 years old) who are starting or switching medication for mental health. The testing is provided as part of research projects being conducted across Western Canada.

What is pharmacogenetic testing?

It is a special type of genetic (DNA) test that helps predict our body’s ability to process and respond to medications. The test is done using a small sample of saliva.

Benefits of participation:

·     Test results may assist with medication selection and dosing.

·     Contribute to our understanding of how genes impact medication response and identify new interactions between genes and medications.
