We are seeking a creative and motivated Content Creator to help raise awareness and communicate our research, innovations, and impact to diverse audiences including clinicians, researchers, trainees, patients, and the public. This part-time role will support the development of engaging digital and visual content that highlights the lab’s projects, publications, and translational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
· Create engaging content for social media to generate awareness of research projects
· Translate complex scientific concepts into accessible content for clinical and public audiences
· Design graphics, infographics, and short videos highlighting research projects and findings
· Assist with dissemination of lab publications, awards, and research updates
· Support development of educational materials for pharmacogenomics implementation and training
Qualifications
· Experience in science communication, digital media, journalism, marketing, or a related field
· Strong writing and storytelling skills
· Ability to translate technical scientific information into clear, engaging content
· Experience with design or multimedia tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, video editing) is an asset
· Interest in genomics, mental health, or precision medicine

The PsychPGx Lab typically has one summer studentship position available. Studentships are 16 weeks in duration (May - August). To be considered for one of these summer studentships, please send your resume/CV, writing sample (e.g., publication, term paper), and current unofficial transcript to chad.bousman@ucalgary.ca no later than 1-December. Interviews will be conducted in mid-December. Selected students will be expected to apply for funding to support their studentship.
