Doctoral Student
We are seeking a PhD Student Scholar to join our team. The selected student will work on the Pharmacogenomics of Psychostimulant Treatment Response (PGx-STaR) study. The PGx-STaR study is a prospective clinical study supported by the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation (2023-2027) aimed at discovering pharmacogenomic markers associated with methylphenidate pharmacokinetics, efficacy, and tolerability in children and adolescents with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The successful candidate will have experience conducting clinical research (preferably in child and adolescent mental health) and a background in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, genomics, or related field. Experience working with genome-wide array data and conducting pharmacokinetic analysis are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to assist with participant recruitment (e.g., presenting the study to clinics and community groups, screening youth for eligibility) and assessment (e.g., cognitive testing) tasks.

Summer Students
The PsychPGx Lab typically has one summer studentship position available. Studentships are 16 weeks in duration (May - August). To be considered for one of these summer studentships, please send your resume/CV, writing sample (e.g., publication, term paper), and current unofficial transcript to chad.bousman@ucalgary.ca no later than 1-January. Interviews will be conducted the first week of January. Selected students will be expected to apply for funding to support their studentship.
